Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning a business for 17 years has definitely not been a smooth road. There have been obstacles, from finances and staffing to location and product/service offerings. Each challenge, however, has brought its own blessing. At times, it can feel like the end of the world. I’ve found myself in some very dark places mentally regarding my business. Whether it was struggling to figure things out and not allowing God to take the lead or being extremely hard on myself about the goals and the progress I felt my companies should be making, it hasn’t been easy.
Duffle Bag Apparel, in particular, has been the most challenging to gauge. With the rapid rise of social media and the constant evolution of the internet, keeping up has not been easy. Despite these challenges, I’ve learned invaluable lessons and grown stronger, both personally and professionally. Each setback has taught me resilience and the importance of faith and patience. Through it all, I’ve realized that perseverance and a positive mindset are key to navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
